1. Quotations
Quotes are non-binding estimates valid for the period stated (typically 7 days). They are subject to space and equipment availability, currency, fuel/BAF, surcharges and applicable tariffs at the time of booking.
2. Cancellations — Before Pickup or Gate-In
Bookings cancelled before pickup, gate-in or container release are refundable, less a USD $75 (or 5%, whichever is greater) administrative fee, plus any third-party costs already incurred (documentation, customs filings, insurance premium, drayage dispatch, equipment positioning).
3. Cancellations — After Pickup, Gate-In or Loading
Bookings cancelled after pickup, gate-in or loading are non-refundable. The shipper remains liable for full freight and all accessorials including demurrage, detention, storage, deadhead and re-delivery charges.
4. Carrier-Caused Service Failures
Where IKEOCEAN or a carrier fails to perform without lawful excuse, the remedy is limited to a refund or credit of the freight charges for the affected leg, subject to the Limitation of Liability in our Terms.
5. Force Majeure
No refund or credit is due for delay, cancellation or loss arising from acts of God, war, civil unrest, strikes, port congestion, customs holds, weather, pandemic, cyber-attacks or government action.
6. Insurance Premiums
Once a cargo insurance policy is bound by the third-party underwriter, premiums are non-refundable except where the underwriter agrees in writing.
7. Subscription & SaaS Fees
ShipHub Pro, API access and Academy tuition fees are refundable within 14 days of initial purchase if unused; thereafter pro-rated refunds are provided only where required by law.
8. Chargebacks
Initiating a payment-card chargeback for services rendered or for charges authorized under our Terms constitutes a material breach. IKEOCEAN reserves the right to pursue collection, attorney’s fees, a USD $50 chargeback handling fee, and to suspend the account.
9. How to Request a Refund
Submit refund requests to info@ikeocean.com with the booking number, invoice and reason. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.
